DHCDC’s mission is to provide affordable housing for seniors and persons with disabilities.

Organized in 1975 and incorporated in 1977 by members of Washington DC Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

DHCDC planned and developed Delta Towers and Fortitude.

Delta Towers is 179 units of affordable housing

Constructed in 1979 at the corner of Florida Avenue and Bladensburg Road, N.E Washington, DC

Awarded the Property Management Association’s 2011 Pace Award for BEST AFFORDABLE PROPERTY in the District of Columbia

DHCDC is governed by a 13 member Board of Directors
